It's taken a lot of years of experimenting but after 15 years in the fitness industry as an instructor, Master Trainer, and coach, I have found some strategies that absolutely help me stay on track. I think they might help you too!!
1. Choose foods with intention. Don't "spend" calories on food you can get every day. Spend calories on food you can only get once a year. I've been doing a lot of Facebook Live videos on these kinds of holiday eating strategies and you can find them over on my Facebook Page.
2. Surround yourself with people who are positive, who inspire you and lift you up. That's one of the most powerful components to living a healthy life!
3. Consider giving the gift of health as a holiday gift for someone on your list. Seriously. What better gift is there than the gift of health? I think we all want our family and friends to be around as long as possible...taking care of our health can help make that happen! I know my almost 90 year old Mom drinks her Shakeology every day and that makes me feel good knowing she's doing something so pivotal for her health! Seeing the big picture helps so much. We aren't 'just' taking care of ourselves for us...we're taking care of ourselves so we can be the best possible US for our families!
