Meet Emily. She's a working wife, mom and Beachbody Coach. Like all of us, Emily has a story and she was kind enough to share her story in hopes that it may inspire you....
What Beachbody program / products did you start with and why?
I started my journey with P90X3. I'm a huge Tony Horton fan and I loved the idea of being done with my workout in 30 minutes. Once I became a mom a few years ago, fitting time in to go the gym wasn't a priority anymore. After a work day, I just want to get home and be with my son and husband, and this program gave me the freedom to work out in the comfort of my home and have more time with my family, while still getting an incredible workout.
When and why did you decide to become a coach?
I decided to become a coach at the end of my 90 days with X3. It truly changed my life. I lost over 13 inches and had more energy than I've ever had. Before X3, I had little energy, baby weight that I couldn't get off, and there were days I didn't even have the energy to get out of bed. My confidence was so low, and I was just tired of being tired. I knew I needed a change, and that's when I reached out to Julie Voris for help. I had no idea a program could change my life the way it did. I knew I had to tell others about this program and Beachbody as a whole. I got the weight off, had energy at the end of a long work day to kick into mom and wife mode, and I finally had life back.
What is the best part of being a coach?
The best part of being a coach is seeing people's lives transform. I have a heart for moms, so when those overworked, over exhausted, low confidence moms come to me for help, it gives me such joy to be a support for them, because I was that mom. I was that mom who some days couldn't even do a load of laundry or cook dinner because it simply took too much energy. Working with moms and watching their lives change is so motivating because I know these products work. Receiving text messages and phone calls about how good they feel, the meals they prepped for the week, and having more energy than they've had in years...that's what coaching is all about for me.
How does being a coach help keep you accountable?
Being a coach keeps me accountable because I check in with my customers and coaches daily. I know I have to be a product of the product, because they're watching me! They see me doing the workouts, and living a healthy lifestyle and when you have that extra accountability, it keeps you in check. They keep me motivated and their energy keeps me going.
What advice do you have for anyone thinking about staring their health / fitness journey or even becoming a coach?
Do it! Do it and go all in! You won't have all the answers right away, you're going to make mistakes, but this is the most rewarding job I've ever had. You are helping people every single day. You are helping create healthier lives by being a coach. This business is about helping people...helping people become better fathers, mothers, friends, co workers, grandparents, and on. Being a positive influence and an encourager will change the lives around you. Go for it, and don't look back. :)
