As a football coach's wife and mom to 3 #fiercefemales, I know first-hand the challenges of juggling it "all". It's easy to lose ourselves in being a spouse, a parent, at our jobs. But you know, I learned a long time ago taking care of me meant taking better care of my family. Finding my fierce became my mantra and my mindset.
As a health and fitness coach, group exercise instructor and Master Trainer, I am so passionate about helping other women find THEIR fierce. Amanda Mattick is one of those women. How did your health and fitness journey start?
I had just had baby #4 and was up nursing him late one night and saw infomerical for 21 Day Fix. I have always been terrible eater and needed help with sweets. The Shakeology seemed like it was going to be a really great fit in my life.
How has being part of one of Julie's classes or groups helped you on your health and fitness journey?
It has completely changed my life. When I started I had hit a plateau and Julie helped me overcome that. Over the course of the year, I started just wanting to lose weight, I've done various programs and am now a coach.
In addition to losing 86lbs, I also have gained life-long friends from being in this group. I'm also more organized with a plan for myself and family. Overall, I'm a better ME!
What advice do you have for anyone thinking about starting their health / fitness journey or even becoming a coach?
It's never too late to start something new. Get rid of your fears and be open to a new process. You never know where it going to lead you!
What can do you do now that you couldn't do before participating in a challenge group?
I have lost 86lbs! My strength and overall fitness has improved tremendously. I am eating so much better than I ever have in my entire life. Julie is an amazing leader and knows how to push you in the right direction. I also have loved our challenges and the posts of food and shake they are mixing in the group.
