Could I make a suggestion for that small win this morning?
Press play. Go for a run. Take a class. And in that time, whether it's 30 minutes, 60 minutes or 10 minutes, give it 100%. Commit to it. Go all in. Create a small win this morning. Then see if it changes how you navigate the rest of the day. You in?
Current situation -- not in the mood for this workout.
Does that mean I don't press play? Nope. It does mean SOMEthing is ALWAYS better than NOthing.
Hey, everybody has their less-than-awesome workout days. The trick is to still press play and do what we can do. And embrace tomorrow as a day to do better. Always be a work in progress.
We all have folks in our lives who we DON'T EVEN KNOW!! who are inspired by our stories, by our actions, by our lives. How crazy cool is that?!
It's really amazing to meet people who have pursued the same passions my daughters have, who have crafted a life based on what they love and who are kind and generous with their time. But it's also pretty cool to think that the way we live our own lives might inspire the kid next door, the mom behind us in line at the grocery, the guy in front of us at Starbucks, the friend next to us in fitness class.
We all have the power to inspire others, in some way. No autographs or paparazzi necessary. 💙
Here's what I've learned.
1. Results come from using systems that work.
Results do not come from going after anything willy-nilly or by chance. Over the past 15 years, I've learned some systems that work and would love to share them with you.
2. Results come from consistency.
Pressing play. Drinking a super shake. Putting good fuel in my brain as well as my body.
Every day. I've learned from experience that consistency is the key.
3. Results come from finding fitness that works in your life.
25 or 30 minutes a day is do-able for everyone. It just is. I'm a mom to 3 girls and wife to a football coach. Life is busy. We all have to find time to make ourselves a priority. I can help you do that.
4. EVERYone DESERVES to feel their best. And that means fitness is not negotiable. Not. Negotiable.
5. Sunshine makes any day even better. 🌞🌞🌞. Enough said.
What I hear a lot :: "oh I could never do what you do!"
What I know for sure :: I'm not any more special than anyone else. In fact, I'm probably LESS talented than most. We ALL have gifts and talents that are unique to US.
Truth is, it's taken me awhile to embrace this, but I think God has given me the gift of being comfortable on stage and sharing my heart, hustle, and experiences.. For me, it's not about the spotlight. It's just that being comfortable on a stage sort of runs in my family, in my blood. My brother can speak with passion and authenticity to thousands, my Dad was an officer in the Navy.
I haven't always been comfortable with this 'gift' because I didn't want people to interpret it as *attention-hogging* or *spotlight-wanting*.
But that's not true, that's not who I am and I can't control what other people think anyway. God gave me this strength for a reason. Shame on me if I don't use it to help others, right?
I am a teacher at heart and love being on a stage. It's my passion zone. I'm also smart enough to surround myself with people who have amazing gifts and who can help me fill in my gaps - and I have PLENTY of gaps! :) That's the beauty of being on a TEAM.
So...yes, you CAN "do what I do"...just in YOUR own way...and how cool is that?
I have so much love for this picture and what it represents.
Years and years of training. Hours and hours of practice. Pushing forward when there was doubt, inside and out. Laser focus on a goal. Curiosity turned into passion. Passion turned from "I want to do this" to "I must do this. It's what I was put here on earth to do."
So many of us search for that "thing" that makes our heart song and sets our soul on fire.
I strongly believe as a parent, if our kiddo has a curiosity, a deep-seated passion, it's up to us to support their pursuit of that passion. If that means our children need private lessons or have travel expenses, that's what it means. That is what being a parent means. We have to figure it out.
Kids - if you have a passion inside you, a curiosity to be something greater than where you are right now, something that keeps you awake at night, big dreams and big goals that stir your soul...then go after it and NEVER let anybody tell you it can't be done.
For all of us - every small choice adds up.
That gymnastics class Aly or Gabby's parent put them in at age 3? It matters.
The sleepovers they chose to miss to get more practice time? It matters.
Every small choice adds up. For these girls, it all adds up to the opportunity to represent Team USA.
For us, we have to decide what OUR big dreams are...where our curiosity is leading us...and go after that. And every small choice we make around that dream, that curiosity, matters.
Think what what makes you curious. Then pursue it. Find out if it makes your heart sing. Then...go after it. Make small choices every day that lead to big goals and dreams. It's worth it.
Okay seriously, friends, I am legitimately SO EXCITED about this amazing new group that starts August 1st! 😍😍😍 --Do you have 30 minutes a day to do a home workout with me? --Do you want some structure in WHAT to eat and how to shop?

Two years ago I would have felt depressed about having a stitched up knee and thought "why do bad things seem to always happen to me!". Through prayer, friends, family and personal development I have realized that everyone has a story, it's what we do with that story that molds us.
What are you doing with your story? Is the glass half full or half empty?
I'm here to fill up your glass because I'm thankful that my peeps and team did that for me and it's my passion to pay it forward.
Health, fitness, nutrition and accountability! It's not just "stuff" this is your life story being played out well.
