Yes, that's Jessy meeting Aly Raisman, Olympic gymnast (who was very sweet btw)
We've been fortunate to meet New York City Ballet dancers, Broadway performers, authors, musicians, athletes. It's a bit of a joke in our family that chances are good that I can make something happen. It's my super power. 😉
But here's the deal...as much as my girls have people they admire, there is someone out there looking up to THEM.
We don't have to be a celebrity or an athlete or famous in ANY way to be a role model.
We don't have to be on a stage in bright lights to inspire someone.
It's really amazing to meet people who have pursued the same passions my daughters have, who have crafted a life based on what they love and who are kind and generous with their time. But it's also pretty cool to think that the way we live our own lives might inspire the kid next door, the mom behind us in line at the grocery, the guy in front of us at Starbucks, the friend next to us in fitness class.
We all have the power to inspire others, in some way. No autographs or paparazzi necessary. 💙
