Yet, funny thing is...I used to feel the same way. "Just "survive" the next few weeks."
The holidays stressed. me. out.
So much food. So much to do. Off my normal schedule. Temptations everywhere. Family drama. Travel.
It all added up to a big ball of stress and sucked my joy in the holidays. I let the joy get sucked OUT of the holidays.
It's different now. Because I'm different now. The change hasn't happened overnight and I am still very much a work in progress. But some of the stress went away when I started focusing on creating EXPERIENCES for the JV's...when I realized ONE cookie or ONE appetizer wouldn't detail me completely...when I made sure I had OPTIONS for my fitness and utilized Beachbody on Demand no matter where I travel. Fitness isn't negotiable but sometimes when it works in my day can be. When I focused on surrounding myself with a POSITIVE TRIBE who lifts me up and inspires me daily.
Now I THRIVE during the holidays. I THRIVE and do so with intention. I've got support, I've got accountability, I've got a PLAN, and I've got boundaries.
So if you come to my house during this holiday season, I won't be bustling around in a Christmas apron making cookies and we won't be doing stuff "just because that's how it's always been done."
We will, however, have holiday music (and some Hamilton Mixtape) turned up loud, a tree decorated with homemade and Disney ornaments, Hallmark Channel will be showing a sentimental and lovely holiday movie, and we'll be hitting up a slew of ballet and concerts. Core de Force & Yoga will keep me on track with my fitness, Shakeology will keep me on track with my nutrition, and I will suck up every BIT of joy I can throughout the holiday season.

Do it on your terms, do what's best for YOUR family.
Create EXPERIENCES and MEMORIES.
Those are the best gifts of all.
