Life is so amazing. There are moments that - at the same time - be so humbling AND create a fire so deep inside that even you are surprised at the heat.
What an incredible week. My family and I are so blessed by this incredible Beachbody business.
Knowing what's ABOUT to happen this year...well, it's mind blowing. Not in a 'kind of mind blowing' way....but in a 'head popping off body, literally MIND BLOWING' way. This company, Team Beachbody, is so committed to doing what is RIGHT and what is GOOD and what is LONG-TERM. I'm so humbled to be a part of it. I cannot wait to be part of the explosion.
Knowing what HAS happened in 2014...that's a whole other story! Challenges, struggles, celebrations, incredible - seriously, incredible - team growth, pretty deep personal growth, commitment to team resources, big goals - goals that are even BIGGER this year.
I am DRIVEN to share this business with as many people as I can this year. As Will Smith says, "if you are going to be here, there is a necessity to make a difference". I am CALLED to share this business...because what if someone had not shared it with me?? How different would our lives be?? Completely and utterly different. Sadly different.
I have BIG goals to meet. I have an AMAZING team...with room for SO MANY MORE on it. Wouldn't it be SO crazy COOL if I could help my coaches ROCK their potential and their business, if I could help my team achieve the same - MORE - success than I have??
Most importantly, I want to make a difference and help others do the same. I want to change lives and help others do the same.
This business has forever blessed my family. The gratefulness I feel cannot be explained. I am humbled and more ON FIRE than I have EVER been to dream BIG dreams. Sort of feels like the ride has just begun.

Sometimes that's all it takes.
One conversation to change the course of a life.
13 years ago, someone had a conversation with me. It was short. It was simple. I remember exactly where it was and what I was doing:
sitting on a blue bench in the Waukesha Family YMCA, waiting for 2 of my girls to finish their lessons.
The group exercise director of that YMCA sat down next to me and said very simply, "I've seen you in class. You need to be teaching. I want you to start in January." (This was November).
That one conversation completely changed the direction of my life.
One morning, after I'd been teaching group ex for a few months, I woke up with the realization that THIS - this fitness and health 'thing' - THIS was what I was supposed to be doing with my life. Teaching, aspiring to inspire, all through health and fitness. Teaching high school English had been a prologue to THIS...the thing I was put here on earth to do....
Year after year, my mantra stays the same: KEEP IT SIMPLE! There really is no secret to leading a healthier life. We just have to find what works for each of us. Maybe it is running, maybe it is PiYo, maybe it is Insanity, maybe it is playing tennis. Whatever activity makes you feel amazing...well, THAT is the one you should do! Listen to your gut and your heart...explore, play, enjoy...find your soulmate workout and love the journey along the way.
So with that in mind, here are my TOP 5 Fit Tips for 2015:
See, there is nothing fancy about it. You just have to commit to it, become consistent and you WILL see and FEEL the changes. Be fueled not by the numbers on the scale, but rather the feeling in your body. #YesYouCan
